Asian carp sandwiches served at Lt. Gov.’s tent at Illinois State Fair

If you can’t beat ‘em, eat ‘em.
That’s what Illinois Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti said about the invasive Asian carp fish in Illinois’ waterways.
Scientific American reported the fish was introduced in the southeast U.S. to help control weeds and parasites but it soon spread, crowding out other fish species. Sanguinetti said Illinois Department of Natural Resources and other groups are working to eliminate the invasive Asian carp species from Illinois waterways.
